Mystery Anniversary Shawl (Mandala II) - Better Photo
Here is a better shot of the Mystery Anniversary Shawl. I laid it out on the lid of my baby grand piano and stood on the piano bench.

Mystery Anniversary Shawl (Mandala II) - Finished!
I finally finished Mandala II. The yellow is devilishly difficult to photograph. I am on a major finishing kick. Trying to finish up projects rather than starting new ones. The pattern is Mandala II, by Renee Leverington of Goddess Knits. The fun of this pattern is that for each section there are four charts to choose from. I used charts 1C, 2C, 3D and 4B. The yarn is Decadently Dark Faded Lace in Daffodil also from Goddess Knits, dyed for this knit along.

Mystery Anniversary Shawl (Mandala II) - Clue 4
Finally, Clue 4 is finished. Only the edging left. The end is in sight. The last two weeks I've been focusing my efforts on finishing up the body of this shawl. Now both of my circular shawls have only edging left to do. I am almost half way done with the edging on the Evenstar Shawl. It goes a little slower because of the beads.

Mystery Anniversary Shawl (Mandala II) - Update
I have not been neglecting my knitting. I am halfway through clue 4 of Mandala II. The knitting has actually been pretty easy. Renee's patterns are very logical and the pattern repeat for each row is generally pretty easy to memorize. I also make sure I check what I am doing with the previous knitting to make sure things are lining up correctly. The second half of this clue should go fairly quickly as the lace patterning is getting sparser and there are actually solid knit rows (what would be considered the wrong side row were this not a circular shawl). In the first half of the clue there was lace shaping on almost every row.

Mystery Anniversary Shawl (Mandala II) - Clue 3
I finished up Clue 3 (Chart D) this afternoon. Pretty easy knitting. Unfortunately I am once again in the position of having too many works in progress. A Unique Sheep mystery knit along started today (Moonfleet shawl), but I don't have the yarn yet. The first clue was waiting in my email this morning, the edging, so I'll learn a new cast on. And it has beads. Plus, there is another Goddess Knits Mystery Shawl (#17) starting tomorrow, and she hasn't even finished up this one. Sigh. And then there is the first kit from the ZenGoddess Lace Club, which I haven't even wound into a ball yet, and the first Year of Lace kit, which I have wound into a ball, both of them crying out to be started. I have been making progress on the Evenstar Shawl and the Calla Lily Socks.

Mystery Anniversary Shawl (Mandala II) - Clue 2
I picked chart C again for Clue 2. The picture is a little dark because I didn't use the flash, but the details of the lace show up better. Love the pattern, love the yarn, love the color. It reminds me of lemon sorbet. Yellow was my favorite color when I was much younger. My bedroom was yellow and I had a ceramic daisy clock on the wall.

Mystery Anniversary Shawl (Mandala II) - Clue 1
This is clue 1 of the Mystery Anniversary Shawl, also known as Mandala II, another Renee Leverington/Goddess Knits design. It is a circular shawl that has 4 different charts for each clue and it is up to the knitter to pick which chart to knit. Fun. The yarn is Decadently Dark Faded Lace in Daffodil, dyed up specially for this project by Renee Leverington of Goddess Knits.
