Le Petit Prince - Mystery Shawl - Finished!

I love this shape of shawl.  I may even make a second one with my Luxe gradiance set in Silverlode with the silver-lined beads.  Non-conformist that I am, I did no transition rows.

We have had our first skink of the season in the house, but my cat Jasmine did not bring it in.  Apparently it wandered in on its own when the door to the garage did not get closed after Jasmine came in from one of her hunting expeditions.  I spotted it in the corner of the room behind one of our floor lamps.  It was very cute.  I caught it and put it back out in the garage.  I did call Jasmine to get her to come and do her job, but she arrived on the scene too late.

Le Petit Prince - Mystery Shawl - Clue 5

I took my time on this clue and even started another simple shawl this weekend (a la Tart Berries & Honey) using up the leftovers of the yarn.  This clue had two color transitions, but mine were simple without all of the transition rows (most of the clue would have been transition rows).  I am considering knitting another version of this shawl in my set of Silverlode in Luxe with silver-lined beads (unless I find some other pattern on Ravelry that I think will do justice to the colors).  There is only one more clue left, which makes me both happy and sad.  I do so enjoy The Unique Sheep mystery knit alongs.  I really need to get back to my Little Mermaid shawl.  I wasn't sure about the yarn that I selected, but the more I think about it, the more I like it.

Le Petit Prince - Mystery Shawl - Clue 4

Clue 4 came out yesterday morning.  I knit about half of the clue last night and finished it up this morning.  There are beads in this clue, but not many.  Transition to skein 3 occurred about half way through the clue, this one is not as dramatic.

Le Petit Prince - Mystery Shawl - Clue 3

Clue 3 was in my inbox yesterday morning and I finished it up last night but it was too dark for a decent photo.  You can see where I started the second skein.  I did not do any transition rows.  In this photo the transition appears more dramatic than I think it will look when the entire shawl is done.

Le Petit Prince - Mystery Shawl - Clue 2

Clues for The Unique Sheep Mystery KALs always come out early on Fridays, although usually I don't get a chance to knit them until I get home from work.  But today I didn't go to work.  They have been doing a security drill all week and they only wanted essential people on base today.  Of course, they couldn't actually tell us not to work because that would be illegal, nor could they actually close the base and send us home on Administrative leave because that would have been illegal as well due to the fact that the event was planned (as opposed to a weather emergency).  The funny thing is that VDOT put up signs warning motorists of the drill and possible back ups this past week, but I don't think there have been any.  They even put up a temporary traffic camera.  I think a lot of people just took the week off (like my husband) to avoid dealing with it.  Taking today off not only gave me the opportunity to be the first to post the finished clue on Ravelry, it also gives me a two day weekend as I have to fly to California on Sunday for work.  At least I will earn some travel comp time.

Le Petit Prince - Mystery Shawl - Clue 1

I actually started knitting this Friday morning before I went to work, but I didn't get it finished until Saturday morning, and didn't get photos until this morning.  This is the latest Unique Sheep mystery KAL.  The design is once more by Janine Le Cras and is based upon Le Petit Prince.  I picked Love Spoken Here, on Luxe for my color way, but replaced the clear silver lined beads with hot pink ones.
